Award-winning journalist and bestselling author Naomi Klein will speak about the politics of climate change beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in NAU\u2019s Prochnow Auditorium.<\/p>\n
Klein is an internationally acclaimed journalist, syndicated columnist and author of the New York Times<\/i> international bestseller, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism<\/i>. Klein\u2019s previous works also include No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand Bullies, and Fences and Windows: Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Globalization Debate.<\/em><\/p>\n She is a contributing editor for Harper\u2019s<\/i> magazine and a reporter for Rolling Stone<\/i>, and she writes a regular column for The Nation<\/i> and The Guardian<\/i> that is syndicated internationally.<\/p>\n In 2004, her reporting from Iraq won the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism.\u00a0She is currently working on a new book and film on how the climate crisis can spur economic and political transformation.<\/p>\n Her talk, \u201c(R)evolution of Climate Change: How the Climate Crisis can Spur Economic and Political Transformation,\u201d is free and open to the public, but advance tickets are required and are available through the\u00a0Central Ticket Office<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n The event is sponsored by NAU\u2019s Department of Politics and International Affairs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
