Sakiestewa Gilbert<\/b>, College of Education professor, co-chaired the symposium. Laurie Dickson<\/b>, psychology professor, and <b>Sherri McCarthy<\/b>, educational psychology professor, recently published <i>Teaching Psychology Around the World: Volume 3<\/i>. Cambridge Scholars Publishing selected Dickson and McCarthy\u2019s work as September\u2019s Book of the Month, citing its \u201cup-to-date overview of international psychology teaching.\u201d Read a sample of the book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.c-s-p.org\/flyers\/978-1-4438-3448-3-sample.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Northern Arizona University has earned a dozen <a href=\"http:\/\/rockymountainemmy.org\/\">Emmy nominations<\/a> from the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.<P>NAU-TV producer-videographer <b>Jerry Anderfuren\u00a0<\/b>received a total of four nominations for his work on three promotional commercials for NAU.<P><b>Eric Sather<\/b>, producer-videographer, received two nominations for his work on two news stories.\n<p>Students in lecturer <b>Angele Anderfuren\u2019s<\/b> EMF 323W class last spring were nominated in the College\/University Student Production category for <a href=\"http:\/\/flgshow.wordpress.com\/\">The FLG Show<\/a>. <b>Delainey Noe, Dani Tamcsin, Lauren Wyatt, Crystal Rivers, Gus Margiotta, Aggie Kufrin, Chelsea Zimmerman, Natasha Reeves, Jieqiong He, Corbin Gillespie, Caleb Renfro, Kevin Bertram<\/b> and <b>Tawney Summers<\/b> were named in the nomination.<\/p>\n<p><b>Derek Ellis <\/b>and<b> Alexander Thomas<\/b>, who graduated from NAU in May, also received nominations for their work as students while taking classes with School of Communication faculty members Kurt Lancaster, Janna Jones, Paul Helford and Angele Andefuren. Ellis received five nominations and Thomas received one.<\/p>\n<p>Associate professor <strong>Dale Hoskins<\/strong> will be inducted into\u00a0the Rocky Mountain Emmy\u2019s Silver Circle, which recognizes those who have dedicated at least 25 years in the broadcast industry.<\/p>\n<p>The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, serving Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and El Centro, Calif.
