{"id":26529,"date":"2007-04-18T08:36:59","date_gmt":"2007-04-18T15:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=26529"},"modified":"2015-08-17T15:24:46","modified_gmt":"2015-08-17T22:24:46","slug":"art-museum-to-highlight-local-talent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/art-museum-to-highlight-local-talent\/","title":{"rendered":"Art Museum to highlight local talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new exhibit of work by local artists at the NAU Art Museum, &#8220;Flagstaff Fantasticals&#8221; opens Friday, April 20 and runs through May 31.<\/p>\n<p>Artists in the exhibit are\u00a0<strong>Brian Painter<\/strong>, an NAU associate professor of art;\u00a0<strong>Chris Johnson<\/strong>, an NAU associate professor of graphic design;\u00a0<strong>Rodrigo De Toledo<\/strong>, an NAU assistant professor in the School of Communication; Mike Frick; David Christiana; and alumni\u00a0<strong>Fred Calleri\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Chrissy Holland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Artwork will range from paintings to sculpture, fine art prints and light boxes.<\/p>\n<p>A free opening reception in conjunction with Flagstaff&#8217;s First Friday Art Walk is planned from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 4. A shuttle will be available to take visitors from the Flagstaff Visitor&#8217;s Center to the NAU Art Museum from 5:15 to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The NAU Art Museum is open from 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays.
