NAU employees will see a slight raise in Blue Cross Blue Shield rates this fall with the university picking up the bulk of the increase.<\/p>\n
Employees will pay an additional $5 per month for the NAU BCBS plan, beginning Oct. 1. The totals will change to $25 per month for employee-only coverage and $125 a month for family coverage.<\/p>\n
The total cost of the BCBS plan increased by more than 15 percent this year, with NAU picking up the majority of the increase, $2.8 million for fiscal year 2006-07. NAU will continue to pay more than 90 percent of the cost of the BCBS health benefits for both family and single coverage.<\/p>\n
Premiums will result in twice-month payroll deductions of $12.50 for employee-only coverage or $62.50 for family coverage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
