Previously, calls were routed through Flagstaff Police Department back to NAUPD.<\/p>\n<p>The change will allow NAU dispatchers to see what extension the call is coming from, and if the caller hangs up or is disconnected, NAUPD will be able make contact.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone on the Flagstaff campus who calls 911 from a cell phone will have the call routed through Flagstaff PD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/naupd-changes-routing-of-911-calls\/\">Northern Arizona University has changed the 911 routing for on-campus phones to facilitate more direct communication with the NAU Police Department.
