Photo by Bob Yowell<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Family fun<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the kids,\u00a0<em>Once Upon a Wolf<\/em>\u00a0is a traveling production that puts a twist on the traditional big bad wolf story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe show is chock-full of the characters we love from our favorite stories, colossal laughs and a lot of spirit,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Kathleen McGeever<\/strong>, chair of NAU\u2019s theater department and producer of the summer festival.<\/p>\n<p>The play is directed by NAU theater student\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Hazen<\/strong>, with fellow students\u00a0<strong>Haleigh Sakas<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jesse Miceli<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Annika Boulet<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jenna Luckow,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Thomas Steinhagen<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Luke Gomez<\/strong>\u00a0rounding out the cast.<\/p>\n<p>The performance debuts at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, on Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff and is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The play also is available to be staged for a sliding scale fee throughout the month of July. Photo by Bob Yowell.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Leave the kids at home<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the older crowd,<em>Psychopathia Sexualis<\/em>, written by award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley, is a comedy about relationships, sexual neuroses and a certain pair of argyle socks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArthur is a fetishist who cannot \u2018perform\u2019 without his father\u2019s old argyle socks nearby,\u201d McGeever said.\u00a0 \u201cShanley is an Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer award-winning playwright.\u00a0His works include\u00a0<em>Doubt<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Moonstruck<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Women of Manhattan<\/em>. He is the perfect playwright for The Peaks Theater Fest\/Town and Gown Theater to feature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cast consists of NAU theater students\u00a0<strong>Tony Latham<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Angela Kriese<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Heather Vaughn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nathan Spector<\/strong>\u00a0and NAU assistant professor of business\u00a0<strong>Tim Clark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The play will be performed at 8 p.m. July 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, 25, 30-31 and at 2 p.m. July 11, 18, 25 and Aug. 1 at the Studio Theater located at the north end of the Performing Arts Building (building 37).<\/p>\n<p>Advance tickets are $10 for students and seniors, $14 for faculty and staff, $15 for general admission; group discounts are available. Tickets purchased at the door are subject to a $2 increase.
