Northern Arizona University Spanish majors get to hone their skills performing in Spanish-American one-act plays at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 28 and 29, at Theatrikos Playhouse, 11 West Cherry Avenue.<\/p>\n
The plays, directed by\u00a0Robert Neustadt<\/strong>, professor of Spanish and director of Latin American studies, also will be presented to second and third grade students at Puente de Hozho, a trilingual school that teaches English, Spanish, and Navajo.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a great example of how NAU works with the community, promotes global perspective and completes the loop between pre- and post-secondary education,\u201d said\u00a0Joe Collentine<\/strong>, chair of modern languages.<\/p>\n The event is free and open to the public; however, donations will be accepted to help reconstruct an orphanage in Haiti.
