Franke College of Business.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for \u201cEmpowered through Partnership: Sowing the Seeds of Service,\u201d will be open until April 30. The event is free to all staff and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>explore how to recognize and attend to individual needs<\/li>\n<li>find ways to partner with others to meet mutual needs<\/li>\n<li>reach outside of themselves to help meet broader needs as part of living in a community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cMany would agree it\u2019s always been advantageous to do these things,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Marcia Warden,<\/strong>\u00a0training coordinator for Human Resources. \u201cBut in the climate we live and work in these days, it\u2019s really become a necessity\u2014both for personal well-being and for professional and organizational effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 30 breakout sessions will be offered in addition to a volunteer service fair during the lunch hour.\u00a0 Session topics will include Volunteerism and Leadership Opportunities, Using Emotional Intelligence at Work, Utilizing Student Employees, Bridging Recruitment Through Partnerships, Re-visioning Retirement, CCC2NAU, Nurturing Fun and Laughter, and more.<\/p>\n<p>For details and to register, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hr.nau.edu\/node\/3083\">nau.edu\/YourDay<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/registration-under-way-for-employee-development-day\/\">NAU\u2019s Employee Development Day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, in The W.A.
