He also will discuss the recent directive from the Arizona Board of Regents to trim the universities\u2019 state-funded salary budgets 2.75 percent and the May 18 vote on a 1-cent sales tax and potential outcomes if the sales tax fails.<\/p>\n<p>In advance of the forum, an\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www4.nau.edu\/insidenau\/bumps\/2010\/4_1_10\/Sales%20tax%20budget%20scenarios.pdf\">internal comparison of budget scenarios<\/a><\/span>\u00a0has been prepared to compare FY11 budget outlooks with and without the passage of Proposition 100. The comparison outlines possible budgetary impacts on higher education, K-12 education, public safety, health care and health services, voter-approved initiatives and other impacts on state government.<\/p>\n<p>The event will include a question-and-answer session.
