Bilby Professor of business administration, had an article titled, \u201cThe Predictive Ability of Quarterly Cash-flow Models,\u201d co-authored with G. Lee Willinger, accepted for publication in the spring 2010 issue of the\u00a0<em>Journal of Theoretical Accounting Research<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Joelle Clark,<\/strong>\u00a0professional development coordinator for the Department of Anthropology, co-authored a chapter, &#8220;Native American Heritage Values: Building Curriculum, Building Bridges&#8221; in a new publication from Left Coast Press called\u00a0<em>Heritage Values: The Past In Contemporary Society<\/em>. Margaret Heath, chief heritage education manager for the Bureau of Land Management, was the chapter\u2019s co-author.<\/li>\n<li><strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" alt=\"papa\" src=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/papa.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"185\" \/>Rosemary Papa<\/strong>, the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Del and Jewell Lewis Chair in the College of Education, edited and helped write the new book\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagepub.com\/booksProdDesc.nav?prodId=Book233513&amp;WT.mc_id=WB010570_cover&amp;WT.mc_ev=click\"><em>Technology Leadership for School Improvement<\/em><\/a>. College of Education colleagues\u00a0<strong>Shadow W. J. Armfield<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael Blocher<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ric Brown<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cynthia Conn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mary Dereshiwsky<\/strong>,<strong>Lawrence Gallagher<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Laura Sujo-Montes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rosemary Papa<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Chih-Hsiung Tu<\/strong>\u00a0also contributed chapters to the text that explores data-driven decision making and technology standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Six undergraduate students co-presented a session at the 22nd annual National Collegiate Leadership Conference in Tucson on Feb. 20.\u00a0The students are Native American Student Services ambassadors and peer mentors\u00a0<strong>Justine Chaco<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Evan Leyva<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Eudora Redhouse<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Andrew Sarracino<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marisa Seutopka<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Steven Tallas<\/strong>. Their session was titled \u201cSave the Drama for Your Mamma: Leading Your Team Away from Negative Group Dynamics,\u201d which gave participants strategies for overcoming negative communication within groups or teams.\u00a0More than 600 college students from across the country and abroad attended the conference.\u00a0 The NAU students\u2019 trip was sponsored by the Ak-Chin Indian Community through Native American Student Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Patrick Hannon<\/strong>, associate professor emeritus of biology, co-authored with Kerry Knapp the book,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Forensic-Biomechanics-CDROM-Patrick-Hannon\/dp\/1933264527\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1267735912&amp;sr=8-1\"><em>Forensic Biomechanics<\/em><\/a>, published by Lawyers and Judges Publishing Co. Hannon also published a chapter, \u201cForensic Biomechanics-Motor Vehicle Accidents,\u201d in\u00a0<em>The Claim Adjuster\u2019s Automobile Liability Handbook<\/em>, and was selected as a research paper reviewer and to serve a three-year term on the associate board of editors for the new international journal,\u00a0<em>The Journal of Forensic Biomechanics.<\/em>\u00a0Hannon is one of approximately 10 reviewers nationwide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/spotlight-3-3-2010\/\">Kudos to these faculty, staff and students Do you have a spotlight item to share with the NAU community?
