{"id":17836,"date":"2009-08-19T12:06:19","date_gmt":"2009-08-19T19:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=17836"},"modified":"2015-08-17T14:56:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-17T21:56:10","slug":"open-enrollment-begins-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/open-enrollment-begins-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Enrollment begins this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Open Enrollment runs from Thursday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Sept. 4, and all university employees must re-enroll even if there are no changes to their benefits selection.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits Open Enrollment is the annual opportunity to make changes to benefits coverage.\u00a0 Benefits staff will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Human Resources, building 91, from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4 to assist employees with online enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>The Benefits Expo has been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Radisson Woodlands Hotel, 1175 W. Route 66.<\/p>\n<p>This year the state is requiring a mandatory open enrollment. In addition, all employees will be required to provide the Social Security numbers for dependents on their plans\u2014a new requirement being implemented in Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>The state has begun mailing out benefits enrollment guides that will contain the plan and premium details.\u00a0 Here are some key changes to pay attention to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>many changes for state health plans (not including NAU\u2019s BC\/BS plan) including changes to vendors, premiums, tiers of coverage, copays and plan designs<\/li>\n<li>changes to some short term disability, long term disability and life insurance plans<\/li>\n<li>premium changes for dental coverage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The rates for the NAU BlueCross\/BlueShield health plan will remain the same for 2009-10.<\/p>\n<p>Refer to the NAU benefits web site at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hr.nau.edu\/m\/\">hr.nau.edu\/m<\/a>\u00a0or call Human Resources at (928) 523-2223 if you have questions<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/open-enrollment-begins-this-week\/\">Open Enrollment runs from Thursday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Sept. 4, and all university employees must re-enroll even if there are no changes to their benefits selection.
