McAllister Endowed Chair in Community, Culture and Environment, recently gave two\u00a0panel presentations at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association in Toronto, Canada.\u00a0The first was an author roundtable on his book, co-authored with Stanley Hauerwas,\u00a0<em>Christianity, Democracy, and the Radical Ordinary: Conversations between a Radical Democrat and a Christian.\u00a0<\/em>Coles also presented a paper, &#8220;Radical Democracy, Circulatory Power, and Hungering.&#8221;In October, Coles will give a plenary presentation on &#8220;Political Theory and Political Engagement&#8221; to the Association for Political Theory conference in College Station, Texas. In November, Coles, who is a facilitator for the American Democracy Project, will participate in the project&#8217;s roundtable discussions\u00a0on its civic engagement initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Juliana Suby<\/strong>, a Spanish lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages, recently received the Outstanding Language Teacher Award from the Arizona Language Association.
