Norton, a professional photographer who has worked for the Discovery Channel, PBS and the BBC, will be featured June 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince so many teachers and educators have limited travel funds, this year the Teaching for a Change conference is both an affordable opportunity and a chance for inspiration for those who are passionate about teaching and learning,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Frances Hill<\/strong>, associate professor in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and plenary speaker for this year\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n<p>Norton&#8217;s address will feature photos taken from atop the world&#8217;s highest mountains. He has climbed several of the famed \u201cSeven Summits,\u201d including Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro. He has led five expeditions into the Peruvian Andes and reached the summit of Mount Rainier 88 times.<\/p>\n<p>Norton\u2019s topic will be \u201cClimb Your Everest and Enjoy the Journey.\u201d Tickets are available for his keynote as well as for the full conference.<\/p>\n<p>Conference information is available at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teachingforachange.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">teachingforachange.com<\/a>. Registration is $580 with discounts available for multiple attendees from an institution.
