Crissalyn and Delivia are identical.\u00a0Natural quadruplets occur in only one in 729,000 births. The identical twins push the odds to one in a million.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Donelle\u00a0Ruwe<\/strong>, associate professor of English, has published an essay, &#8220;International Quidditch: Using Cultural Translation Exercises to Teach Word Choice and Audience,&#8221; in the March 2013 issue of the\u00a0<em>English Journal<\/em>. Ruwe&#8217;s essay is based on a presentation that she delivered in 2011 for the\u00a0NAU Faculty Development series, &#8220;Insights from Studies of Women and Children in Global Settings.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15209\" alt=\"Honoring Our Children book cover\" src=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/HOC.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2013\/03\/HOC.jpg 250w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2013\/03\/HOC-184x300.jpg 184w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>The College of Education has released a new book, <em>Honoring Our Children: Culturally Appropriate Approaches to Teaching Indigenous Students<\/em>, edited by NAU professors\u00a0<b>Jon Reyhner<\/b>, <b>Louise Lockard<\/b> and <b>Willard Sakiestewa Gilbert<\/b>, as well as <b>Joseph Martin<\/b>, an associate professor of educational leadership and special adviser to NAU President\u00a0<b>John Haeger<\/b>\u00a0on Native American Affairs. The book is the eighth in a series of monographs related to teaching indigenous students published by Northern Arizona University. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/jan.ucc.nau.edu\/~jar\/HOC\/\">Honoring Our Children<\/a><\/em> assists educators and policy makers in better understanding how the education of indigenous children can be improved by building on their cultural heritage and involving their families and local communities. Several NAU faculty contributed to the book, including <strong>Louise Lockard<\/strong>, <strong>Velma Hale<\/strong>, <strong>Christine Lemley<\/strong>, <strong>Loren Hudson<\/strong>, <strong>Mikaela Terry<\/strong> and <strong>Evangeline Parsons Yazzie<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>At its Feb. 23 meeting, the Arizona Honors Council elected\u00a0<b>Glenn Hansen<\/b>, assistant director of the NAU Honors Program, to serve as the council\u2019s secretary for two years.
