The event is part of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.nau.edu\/naurds-p\/\">NAUReads<\/a>\u00a0program, designed to engage the campus community in conversations about the same book.<\/p>\n<p>Forney will focus on her\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ellenforney.com\/\">work<\/a>\u00a0as a successful professional cartoonist and the different types of illustrations and cartoons she creates. In addition to illustrating\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/naureads-promotes-fall-pick\/\"><em>The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian<\/em><\/a>, Forney has published a graphic novel and a collection of cartoons for the Seattle\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattlepi.com\/writers\/forney\/\"><em>Stranger<\/em><\/a><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The event is free, but tickets are required and are available at Central Ticketing at NAU. The presentation may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
