Grab your holiday shopping list and help United Way of Northern Arizona at the ninth annual Mountain Campus Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair.<\/p>\n

More than 80 booths of hand-crafted items will be showcased from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the du Bois Center\u2014note the different location from past years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus will make an appearance at the fair on Saturday afternoon. The fair also features live holiday music, free parking and a raffle.<\/p>\n

“The craft fair is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season by being a part of helping those less fortunate in our community,” said\u00a0Cindy Grider<\/strong>, business manager for the NAU Police Department and chair of this year’s United Way committee. “It\u2019s a great event, lots of fun, and you can get your holiday shopping done early.”<\/p>\n

Last year’s craft fair entrance and booth fees raised $15,337 for United Way.<\/p>\n

Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and free for children under 12.

To date, NAU’s United Way “The Power of One<\/a>” campaign has raised more than $50,600 toward its $110,000 goal for 2009. The last day of the campaign is Dec. 4.<\/p>\n

Those who submit a United Way pledge will be automatically entered into the NAU United Way raffle for a painting by local artist, NAU alum and library specialist at Cline,\u00a0Trace Glau<\/strong>, and a photo print by\u00a0Greg Glau<\/strong>, associate professor of English and director of the University Writing Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
