This year\u2019s annual Employee Giving Campaign will be as welcome as a warm cup of coffee\u2014or tea.<\/p>\n
The campaign, with the theme Oz. 4 Oz.,will begin April 6, when NAU faculty, staff and administrators will be asked to support NAU\u2019s mission with a financial gift of any size to any NAU area.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to show our students and our community that we believe in what we do,\u201d said\u00a0Anne Marie Mackler<\/strong>, a coordinator in the Office of University Advancement.<\/p>\n Mackler explained that<\/strong>\u00a0with every contribution\u2014even a gift equal to the cost of a cup of coffee\u2014an employee will receive a travel mug and a Sodexo coupon for a cup of coffee or tea (Starbucks for employees not in Flagstaff).<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s a cup that keeps on giving: You get a 25-cent discount with every use,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s our way of saying \u2018thanks\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n A hot beverage at a campus coffee shop costs about $1.70.<\/p>\n \u201cIf every employee donated one cup with every paycheck, we\u2019d see more than $160,000 benefitting NAU students and programs,\u201d she added. \u201cFunds can go to your own department or your favorite scholarship.\u201d<\/p>\n Campaign organizers are seeking team leaders from each department and area to help with the event.
