Northern Arizona University\u2019s official spring enrollment increased 1.1 percent over the previous year, bringing the total student population to 24,039.<\/p>\n
The number of students at NAU\u2019s Flagstaff campus reached 16,920,\u00a0a 2.5 percent increase over spring 2012.<\/p>\n
The enrollment pattern comes after several record-breaking years. In fall 2012, NAU set a record with 26,002 students university-wide. Spring enrollments typically show a slight decline.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleased to see enrollment increase modestly in these economic times,\u201d said David Bousquet<\/strong>, senior vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. \u201cNAU continually works to adapt to the needs of students today and to expand\u00a0the opportunities for those seeking to earn a degree.\u201d<\/p>\n Colleges with top enrollment include the College of Engineering, Forestry and Natural Sciences; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Education. Extended Campuses reported 7,072 students enrolled throughout the state and online.<\/p>\n Undergraduate enrollment grew 3.3 percent to 15,556.
