NAU Dining Services is hosting an old-fashioned Thanksgiving celebration for some of the community\u2019s seniors.<\/p>\n
Dining Services and Parking Services are combining forces to host seniors from the Thorpe Park Community and Senior Center for a free traditional Thanksgiving meal from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the du Bois Center.<\/p>\n
Parking Services will provide the transportation for about 60 seniors, said\u00a0Casey Fisher<\/strong>, marketing director for Campus Dining. Several members of the Kayettes also will attend.<\/p>\n She added that seniors throughout the community are welcome to attend for free. Faculty, staff and students also can join the festivities for $8.60 in cash or $7.85 with Dining Dollars.<\/p>\n \u201cIt gives us\u00a0the\u00a0opportunity to reach out and honor\u00a0the senior members of the Flagstaff community,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cThey come\u00a0to Northern Arizona University\u00a0and\u00a0experience a traditional Thanksgiving dinner\u00a0in\u00a0an exciting\u00a0and\u00a0vibrant atmosphere.\u00a0Our guests enjoy the\u00a0interaction\u00a0with\u00a0our students and invoke a\u00a0spirit of gratitude that we\u00a0can\u00a0lose sight of during the\u00a0busy\u00a0holiday\u00a0season.\u201d<\/p>\n Dining Services also will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the HotSpot.
