NAU’s master’s program in The W.A. Franke College of Business has once again been ranked among outstanding business schools in the country in the 2009 edition of\u00a0Princeton Review’s Best 296 Business Schools<\/em>.<\/p>\n

NAU also was ranked in the 2008 and 2007 editions. The rankings are based on surveys of 19,000 students attending 296 business schools and on school-reported data.<\/p>\n

“From a student’s perspective, a valuable and desirable feature is the small size of our MBA program,” said\u00a0Jane Thompson<\/strong>, director of NAU’s MBA program. “The ratio of faculty to students is high, allowing each student to receive individual attention, whether it is a core course or in-depth elective.”<\/p>\n

Best 296 Business Schools<\/em>\u00a0has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services.<\/p>\n

In a sidebar in the profile, the\u00a0Princeton Review<\/em>\u00a0lists topics that NAU students were in most agreement about. The list includes: marketing, accounting, presentation skills, computer skills and doing business in a global economy.<\/p>\n

In NAU’s profile, students say NAU’s program is “intense and fun at the same time,” leaving them “better prepared and more knowledgeable in regards to the major business functions, such as marketing, management, finance and accounting.”<\/p>\n

Editors of the\u00a0Princeton Review<\/em>\u00a0highlight NAU’s “wonderful” new business building, which they say has a “modern-yet-retro” facility and is a great place to study as well as socialize. They also mention Flagstaff’s atmosphere and recreational activities available to students outside of school.<\/p>\n
