The search for a permanent dean of The W.A. Franke College of Business has ended without a hire, and a new interim dean has been appointed.<\/p>\n
Mason Gerety<\/strong>, vice president for Advancement and former dean of the college, has been appointed interim dean effective July 1, Provost\u00a0Liz Grobsmith\u00a0<\/strong>announced this week.<\/p>\n Grobsmith said she will re-launch a nationwide search for a permanent dean in the near future. She hopes to have a new dean in place as soon as possible.<\/p>\n Grobsmith also expressed her deep appreciation for the job done by the search committee.<\/p>\n Marc Chopin,\u00a0<\/strong>who had accepted a three-year appointment as dean in 2008, will return to the faculty. \u201cMarc has done a wonderful job in his role, and we appreciate all of his hard work and efforts to maintain the college\u2019s quality,\u201d Grobsmith said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
