NAURA Centennial Scholarship
About the Centennial Scholarship
Late in 1997 members of the NAU Retirees Association, Daniel Julien, Clayton Chance, Robert Kaecker and Eudora Larson created the Northern Arizona University Retirees Centennial Scholarship. It was designated as “Centennial” to honor NAU’s 100-year anniversary. This is an endowed fund which means that it continues forever. Only a portion of the NAURA Scholarship Account with the NAU Foundation is available each year. Since 2003, we have provided over 35 scholarships and have awarded over $40,000 to students. We are immensely proud to be able to support our students.
To be considered for this award, the applicant needs to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 (where A = 4.0) for all college/university course work transferred to or earned at NAU; have achieved university status of junior or above; be a full-time or part-time undergraduate student in any major. Financial need is not a consideration. Apply for this scholarship through NAU Financial Aid. Scroll to the NAU Retiree Centennial Scholarship, click on the link, then click on the Sign In button.
Preference shall be given to students who are children or grandchildren of Northern Arizona University retirees. If no qualified applicant meets the preference, then other NAU students may be considered for this award.
We could not have helped all these students without the loyal support of our retirees. Help future NAU alumni reach their aspirations of higher education by donating to the NAURA Centennial Scholarship.
