NACC Event Schedule
The NACC creates programming and events in 4 areas: cultural expression events, social outreach events, inclusive educational events, and Indigenous health and well being events. Information from the “Future Leaders” survey and the Indigenous Student Forums provided by NAU Indigenous students helped in creating the events schedule. Check out the schedules below and stop by the NACC!
There is always a diverse range of events that are held at the NACC every month, check our Facebook page for updated events and other information.
Spring Semester 2020 Events
In accordance with NAUs COVID-19 response, the NACC is canceling events until further notice. Please check back periodically for information about events at the NACC.
Office of Native American Initiatives Programs
The Office of Native American Initiatives (ONAI) houses seven different areas that support and serve Native American students, communities, and Nations. Kathleen Frank, MA, who is the Director of Special Programs and Alumni Relations area, and the Assistant Director to the NACC, offers two programs designed to support and serve current and future Native American students and alumni. The Student-to-Student Connections program and the Circle of Mentors program offer students and alumni the opportunity to visit campus and create lifelong relationships and pathways to success.
The Director for Special Programs and Alumni Relations, Ms. Kathleen Frank, is working with the NAU Office of Alumni Engagement on many new developments for our Native American Alumni. She will be making visits with the Alumni Engagement team for various NAU alumni regional events and would like to connect with Native American Alumni for possible Mentoring and Shadowing opportunities with our current Native American students and younger Native American youth.
For additional information about schools and students participating in these programs, please contact Kathleen Frank at Kathleen.Frank@nau.edu.
