About the ‘My Health My Choice’ study<\/h3>\n

Led by Drs. Darold Joseph and Julie Armin, the My Health My Choice<\/em> (MHMC) project focuses on social determinants of health related to education and social context. The project seeks to improve reproductive health knowledge among women with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and to understand how caregiver and institutional settings affect access to cancer screenings. It also examines policy and practice factors that influence screening interventions, testing the effectiveness of the program for Native American women with IDD and identifying factors that impact screening uptake through the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research.<\/p>\n

This study is conducted in partnership with the Tucson Indian Center and Hopi Cancer Support Services.<\/p>\n
