About the program<\/h2>\n

Northern Arizona University (NAU), through a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), wants to help you pursue your Engineering or Computer Science degree and career with a S-STEM Scholarship<\/a>. During academic year 2026-2027, this scholarship is available for twelve first-year and four transfer students with unmet financial need as indicated by Pell Grant eligibility, for an amount of up to $10,000 annually for four and two years, respectively. Academically talented students planning to complete a four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

In addition, this scholarship provides more than funding. Through the program, you will participate in activities that supply peer support and mentorship from faculty and promote professional development. You will be encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities that will help you grow personally and professionally, and will better prepare you for a successful career in the workplace. Throughout the course of the program, you will be given the opportunity to apply for industry internships as well as for research activities on campus.<\/p>\n

Scholarship details<\/h2>\n

The scholarship is awarded on a semester basis and is renewable for up to seven semesters for first-year students and for three semesters for transfer students (i.e., for a total of four and two years of financial support, respectively), provided that good academic standing is maintained.<\/span><\/p>\n
