encouraging critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. Our mechanical engineers will develop broad skill sets to create novel devices and technologies. Our unique design program, Design4Practice, includes four courses which starts with the freshman&rsquo;s introduction to engineering (EGR 186) and is concluded with the Capstone courses (ME 476C\/486C) in the senior year. This design program provides hands-on opportunities to students to work with real clients and well-known companies such as W.L. Gore and Raytheon and prepare them to pursue their dreams by going into industry or graduate school. This is done by adding intensive language study, immersion in our community of international scholars, and a variety of other international and cultural curricular elements and activities. In this program, studies in language and culture are closely integrated with engineering and science, following a set of carefully crafted degree progress plans.<\/p>\n<p>Students in an IGP program earn both a BS in their chosen discipline (Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering) and a BA in either Modern Languages or Comparative Cultural Studies.
