\nVitalZone<\/strong>
\nVitalZone is a healthcare-focused approach to SafeZone.\u00a0 A SafeZone is a confidential, safe space where you can learn, ask questions and reflect. VitalZone takes this a step further.\u00a0 LGBTQIA+ people are more likely to experience discrimination in healthcare settings, more likely to be diagnosed with chronic illnesses, and less likely to receive quality health education related to safe sex practices, and less likely to have assistance paying for healthcare services.\u00a0 Local, state, and federal health policies also limit access to services.\u00a0 As a whole, these challenges impede the ability of LGBTQIA+ people to lead safe, healthy lives.\u00a0 In VitalZone, we tackle the issue head on, and we break down how healthcare workers can play a part in making a more just and equitable healthcare system for all LGBTQIA+ individuals.
