He has written several different series, including his most recent title, “The Girl Beneath the Sea.” Berney shares, “the fun thing about Mayne is him… he is a well respected magician, so his books are hard to guess the ending!”

Janet Crum recommends Matchup by Lee Child. MatchUp is an anthology of short stories from the International Thriller Writers. Each story is co-authored by a male and a female thriller writer, featuring a character from each writer’s work. The result is wonderfully entertaining, as these thriller masters figure out how to pair two famous–and often very different–characters in a single story. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if, say, Temperance Brennan and Jack Reacher teamed up, or Jamie Fraser and Cotton Malone bridged 200 years to appear together, then this is the book for you.

Rae Harris recommends the book, “I Wish You All the Best” by Mason Deaver. Klinenberg is looking for a way to help society move forward, not only through shared values, but the idea of shared spaces. Follow the journey to help bridge the society divides we are facing today.

Jill Friedmann shares, ” that William Gibson’s new book “Agency” is a spectacular look at alternative realities and how we might use artificial intelligence to change the outcomes of the past.” She appreciates his writing style that “moves you through the story as if you were a character too.”

Cline Library Staff Book Recommendations Looking for a good summer read?
