Cline Library is crucial to the success of NAU\u2019s teaching, research, service, and community outreach priorities. The library remains one of the most heavily used resources on campus and converges with almost every aspect of campus life.<\/p>\n

The library selected the following giving priorities as they support the broadest impact on student learning and success at NAU.<\/p>\n\n
Cline Library is a happening, go-to place. The library’s learning spaces, including the MakerLab, The Studios, and collaborative study rooms are heavily used by students and student groups. We continue to envision new programs and spaces that will enhance the research and study environment for students well into the future.<\/p>\n
We recommend gifts to the Cline Library Innovation Fund (4935)<\/a> in support of this focus.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Cline Library is a desirable place to work on campus. More than 50 students during the academic year work in User Services and Experience, Special Collections and Archives, and Content, Access, and Delivery Services to help pay for their college education. Libraries remain a fundamental connection for students to their academic success. This fund supports student employment and professional development opportunities for library student employees.<\/p>\n We recommend gifts to the Cline Library Student Workforce Promise Fund (5477)<\/a> in support of this focus.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Supports an NAU student selected to be a Cline Library Hanks Scholar. Through an internship, the student locates and documents camera stations using repeat photography practices and photographs held by Special Collections and Archives.<\/p>\n We recommend gifts to the Dorothy T. and James J. Hanks Cline Library Endowment (1523)<\/a> in support of this opportunity.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Supports a paid summer internship opportunity to a graduate student or exceptional undergraduate student engaged in the pursuit of an archival administration, information management, or cultural heritage career. The internship focuses on the design, development, and fabrication a virtual and physical exhibit in Special Collections and Archives.<\/p>\n We recommend gifts to the Elizabeth M. and P.T. Reilly Endowment (1371)<\/a> in support of this opportunity.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/p>\n This fund allows the library to allocate fiscal resources to all types of library initiatives and is significant to designing, implementing, and maintaining a library of excellence for Northern Arizona University and the regional community. It directly supports some of the library’s top priorities including building improvements and renovation and acquisitions and collection purchases. This fund allows us to add needed book materials to the library’s physical and online collections. This fund allows for flexible allocation of gifts in support of students, staff, spaces, and more. Named in honor of a library student supervisor, this fund supports educational and book expenses for a library student employee. Fulfill a long-desired philanthropic interest through a planned gift. Your gift may also allow you to increase income, save taxes, and make a legacy gift to the library that might not otherwise be possible. Library staff will gladly discuss gifts of materials that support the university’s curricula and goals, especially hardcover fiction and current scholarly titles in environmental science, global studies and education. The library also acquires films on DVD and music and audio recordings on CD. Magazines and journals, textbooks, and items in poor condition are generally not needed.<\/p>\n Gifts are reviewed for condition and appropriateness with the understanding that the library makes all necessary decisions regarding retention and disposition.
