Next, they completed mapping of the west half of the Grand Canyon\u00a0 and were later contracted to produce geological maps of Canyonlands and Capital Reef National Parks in Utah.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1602\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1602\" style=\"width: 479px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-tall-banner-image wp-image-1602\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/library-cline-special-collections\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/340\/31903-479x384.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"479\" height=\"384\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1602\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Finns in Canyonlands National Park<br \/>NAU.PH.2003.11.68.M5528<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>George later made it his mission to map the surrounding areas outside of the Grand Canyon.
