At its core, the Connected Campuses project supports the One NAU Side by Side<\/em> initiatives and the student success and access<\/em>\u00a0strategic goal<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n For the first phase, to maximize the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, all impacted groups will need to adapt business processes to match the new Salesforce architecture.<\/p>\n NAU has purchased a second instance of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud. The first step is to implement the new Salesforce environments and adjust how data integrates with existing systems.<\/p>\n NAU’s vision of personalized attention to student success<\/em> cannot be achieved without this change. We would not be able to utilize the metric based, intelligent decision-making opportunities this change will bring to NAU.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n \n The landscape of higher education is changing. As it changes NAU must adapt as well or we will no longer be able to meet our mission to enrich lives and create opportunities in Arizona and beyond<\/em>. We must create effective ways to share educational opportunities to prospective students beyond the traditional high school student.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n \n This change is being implemented through a highly collaborative effort involving staff from Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA), Information Technology Services (ITS), University Marketing, and Salesforce Consulting. Additional groups may be added as the project moves forward. The project is being formally managed by ITS, with a dedicated development team and a functional leads team comprised of business analysts from both EMSA and University Marketing (see our project governance structure<\/a> for more detailed information). Core project teams are in regular meetings to ensure the project is on track for our implementation date.<\/p>\n Currently, for most of NAU faculty, staff, and students, there is no expectation that day-to-day changes will happen. Significant business process changes are expected for NAU staff members who regularly engage with our prospects and University Marketing who are making data-based decisions about how to best engage our diverse population of prospects. These changes will continue to be defined and vetted by all Stakeholders as the process continues.<\/p>\n Graduate, Online, and Connected Campus Prospects will be connected with our NAU Prospect Engagement Team through the new Salesforce setup. All Flagstaff Mountain Traditional Prospects will continue to engage with NAU through our current system. When a Graduate, Online, and Connected Campus Prospects begin their application they will move back into our current Business Processes. <\/span><\/p>\n Work on the Salesforce redesign began in Fall 2018 and is now moving into high gear.
