This afternoon, Instructure, the company that develops and hosts the Canvas platform, has reported that the service is down for users globally following a cybersecurity incident.<\/p>\n<hr role=\"separator\" class=\"hr--transparent hr--transparent-15px not-in-view\">\n<p>NAU is closely monitoring the situation and working to determine the full impact on the university. ITS is currently working alongside university partners to support Lumberjacks during finals week and throughout commencement.<\/p>\n<p>Users can <a href=\"https:\/\/servicenow.nau.edu\/sp?id=service_status&amp;service=4c201cb2db69a340de006693ca961984\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subscribe to updates on this issue through the ITS Service Portal.<\/a>\u00a0Updates will be provided as necessary with any additional information as the situation progresses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px\"><span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>May 7th, 10:00 PM MST Update<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Instructure has brought the Canvas platform back online, and NAU users can once again access the service. We&#8217;ll be continuing to monitor university systems throughout the end of the semester.<\/p>\n<hr role=\"separator\" class=\"hr--transparent hr--transparent-15px not-in-view\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px\"><span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>May 8th, 7:45 AM MST Update<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Instructure has given an all-clear for Canvas following yesterday&#8217;s outage and has brought the service back online for users globally.
