I can\u2019t find what I need and I\u2019m in a hurry!\u00a0 Where did my stuff go?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re in a hurry \u2013 Select the \u201cClassic Home\u201d tile on the navigation bar and you\u2019ll see the \u201cold\u201d menu that you\u2019re used to.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be able to find what you need in the same place as you did before.\u00a0 HOWEVER, we strongly encourage you to become familiar with the new homepage, tile and navigation tools when you have more time.\u00a0 You can select the \u201cLOUIE Training\u201d tile for help how to use the new features.<\/p>\n

In addition to the new look\/feel and navigation, what else changed?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing has changed \u201cunder the hood.\u201d\u00a0 Once you get to your desired page(s), they\u2019ll function the same way as usual!\u00a0 You may notice that some of the pages look a little different and are easier to use on your phone, but beyond that, you won\u2019t notice much of a difference in your day to day work.<\/p>\n

Can I get to everything in LOUIE\/HR from the home pages and tiles?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No.\u00a0 There are thousands of navigations and pages within these systems, many of which are only accessed by a few employees as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.\u00a0 The home page and tile navigation were created for quick access to the most commonly used, self-service features within these applications.\u00a0 To access other pages, you should use the navigator tile located on the navigation bar.<\/p>\n

Where did the HR Worklist go?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The HR worklist is now on the Navigation Bar. If you select the compass icon in the right corner, the Navigation Bar will open and the HR worklist is there.<\/p>\n

What are the banner icons?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are three main banner icons:<\/p>\n

Action List Menu (three, vertical dots) displays the following menu items:\n

When I select a tile and click on a link, it looks like an \u201cold\u201d page that doesn\u2019t work well on my phone and\/or tablet.\u00a0 Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n
In this first phase of updating LOUIE\u2019s look and feel, we built the framework with new homepages and tiles reflecting the new navigation model.\u00a0 Over time, we\u2019ll be releasing more pages using the \u201cnew look\u201d that work better on your mobile\/tablet devices.<\/p>\n

Who decided which tiles we have and how they are organized?<\/strong><\/p>\n
Project team members from across the institution held meetings with various user groups across campus, gathering feedback about tiles and navigation collections to help inform the design of the homepages and tiles.\u00a0 Student focus groups were also engaged to provide their feedback on the homepage and tile layouts.<\/p>\n
Will my \u201cFavorites\u201d still be there?<\/strong><\/p>\n
Yes.\u00a0 Favorites can be accessed by clicking on the navigation icon in the upper right hand menu bar.<\/p>\n
You can also add NEW favorites by clicking on the three dots in the upper right hand menu and then clicking on Add to Favorites<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Where did my \u201cBreadcrumbs\u201d go?<\/strong><\/p>\n
With the new look and feel, breadcrumbs are no longer available.\u00a0 The vendor has received so many requests for this feature to be restored that we do expect this to return in a future release.<\/p>\n
Can the Navigator feature be alphabetized?<\/strong><\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the menu items in the Navigator feature can\u2019t be alphabetized at this time.\u00a0 The vendor has received so many requests for this feature that we do expect this in a future release.<\/p>\n
Can I still \u201cOpen a New Window\u201d while working in LOUIE?<\/strong><\/p>\n
Yes.\u00a0 Currently administrative pages continue to have a link to open a new window in the upper right hand corner under the menu bar.\u00a0 As more \u201cfluid\u201d pages are delivered, this feature may no longer be available.\u00a0 We will continue to research this as changes are made to the system.<\/p>\n
Why does this website reference LOUIE and HR separately?\u00a0 Aren\u2019t they the same system?<\/strong><\/p>\n
NAU actually has three PeopleSoft applications.<\/p>\n

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (LOUIE) is our student information system and the primary system many users log into every day.\u00a0 Faculty and Advisor information is also primarily contained within LOUIE.<\/li>\n
PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) is our Human Resources information system used for managing our employee information and related processes.<\/li>\n
PeopleSoft Financial Management System (FMS) is our Financial application used for managing our financial data and processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Currently, NAU connects LOUIE and HR behind the scenes so that users can access information and move across these systems easily without needing to log out of one system and into the other system.\u00a0 You\u2019ll see a difference in the home pages available in the HR system, but you can still easily switch between these two systems using the \u201cTake me to LOUIE\u201d or the \u201cTake me to HR\u201d tiles on the navigation bar.<\/p>\n
Will PeopleSoft Financials (FMS) also have the new look and feel?<\/strong><\/p>\n
At this time, we will not be changing to the new home page and tile layout within PeopleSoft FMS.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
