To continue improving how the NAU community and our guests connect to our network, ITS will be implementing updates to the wireless network on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. These updates will modernize our security capabilities, making way for the growing diversity in wireless devices connecting to the NAU network.
After the updates are in place, all devices connected to the current secure “NAU” network must reconnect to the new network. The name of the network will not change, nor will the process for connecting to the network. Depending on the settings of the device, you may be required to enter your NAU credentials to connect.
A new process for connecting gaming and media devices such as Xboxes, Apple TVs, and smart home devices will also be implemented. Devices that are unable to authenticate to the NAU wireless network will need to be enrolled on the MyDevices portal. For more information and to enroll your devices, please visit our Enrolling your gaming or media device for NAU Wi-Fi access Knowledge Base article.
The “NAU Guest” network allows guests to register for a unique code that is sent via SMS text, instead of in an email. This code can be used to connect up to five devices for seven days.
