The second annual Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. Hosted by the Institute for Human Development (IHD) and Care 4 the Caregivers, the event continued to build on its growing reputation as a vital regional hub for disability-related resources, community connection, and inclusion.<\/p>\n

\"groupThis year\u2019s fair drew over 200 participants, a 21.8% increase from 2024\u2019s inaugural event. The afternoon featured almost 40 exhibitors representing service providers, nonprofits, assistive technology companies, and local, state, and federal agencies. The event was supported by 16 volunteers, and attendees included individuals with disabilities of all ages, their families, caregivers, students, and community allies.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Participants praised the fair\u2019s welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. One exhibitor\u00a0 shared,\u00a0\u201cIt was great to connect with all the other exhibitors who have the same mission and goals, helping individuals live meaningful lives.\u201d\u00a0Many commented on the strong sense of partnership and shared purpose that filled the room.<\/p>\n

\"People<\/p>\n

In addition to resource exhibits, this year\u2019s fair featured a range of family-friendly, inclusive activities. Attendees enjoyed inclusive arts and crafts, an accessible obstacle course led by Coach Marty of High Country Adaptive Fitness, introductory rock-climbing experiences hosted by High Country Adaptive Sports, complimentary balloon animal creations, a scavenger hunt, and more. A new sensory room sponsored and staffed by Northern Arizona Healthcare Children\u2019s Health Center was introduced, providing a quiet space for those needing a break from the bustling exhibit hall.<\/p>\n

The Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair was created in direct response to community needs for more accessible regional opportunities to connect with disability resources. What began in 2024 as a successful first-time event, described by attendees as \u201cawesome,\u201d \u201cwelcoming,\u201d and \u201cfull of amazing resources that gave me hope,\u201d has become a living tradition for northern Arizona.<\/p>\n
