The brief describes some of key features of the program, including the educational coaches who guide students through every phase of the transition process as well as the peer mentors who help program participants socialize and thrive in the college environment.

Since its launch in 2020, SIP-C can point to many successes. Two of these success stories are detailed in the Bridge Brief. The brief also provides information about the inclusive postsecondary transition workbook that program staff have developed, translating IHD’s experience into a framework that can be replicated in schools throughout the country.

About Bridge Briefs:

For over a decade, IHD has been publishing Bridge Briefs in order to present research findings with real-world applications in a format suitable for practitioners, families, and other interested individuals.
