Abstract

This practice guide combines the Blessing Way teachings with the social emotional lessons that are used at IWES, with the goal of having students learn the importance of the Blessingway strategies. This guide covers how students will set their goals on how they will incorporate the Blessing Way strategies, and how the students will practice their strategies on a daily basis. This guide incorporates culture by teaching students Navajo words related to the strategies to help students realize the importance of resilience and grit, and how it is used in their daily lives.
