Club members coordinate research and learning opportunities across campus, share mentorship and career development skills, and attend the annual&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacnas.org\/conference\">National Diversity in STEM Conference<\/a>. Students are prepared to enter college and get help applying for scholarships and financial planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indigenous Summer Enhancement Program<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/cher\/initiatives-navajo-native-american-research-center-for-health-partnership-narch\/#:~:text=The%20Navajo%20Native%20American%20Research,The%20goals%20of%20NARCH%20are%3A&amp;text=To%20improve%20the%20health%20and,development%20of%20public%20health%20training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indigenous Summer Enhancement <\/a>is a two-week program for Native American high school students that introduces them to careers in public health research and service learning in local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indigenous Youth Media Workshop<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/nativeamericanbroadcastworkshop.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indigenous Youth Media Workshop<\/a> encourages Native American and other high school students to work together to tell the stories that are important to them and their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nizhoni Academy<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nizhoni Academy is a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/nizhoni-academy\/\" target=\"_blank\">pre-college program<\/a> that prepares Native American High School students to become successful college students. The six-week program is held on the Flagstaff campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student-to-Student Connections Shadowing Program<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/ais\/programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student-to-Student Connections Shadowing Program<\/a>, high school students spend a day shadowing current social sciences majors and learning about college life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Seven Generation Money Management<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/economic-policy-institute\/seven-generation-money-management-7g-mm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Seven Generation Money Management<\/a> (7G MM) program is a hands-on financial literacy game targeted toward Native American youth to increase their money management skills and give them a basic understanding of investing, opening a bank account, purchasing a car, renting an apartment, buying a house, and other life skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upward Bound<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/upward-bound\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Upward Bound<\/a> is a four-week summer Academy that provides an educationally enriching program introducing high school students to the university environment. The program is for high school students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and\/or will be first-generation college graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upward Bound Math &amp; Science<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Serving five target high schools in northern Arizona, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/ubms\/\" target=\"_blank\">Upward Bound Math &amp; Science<\/a> (UBMS) works with 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u201312<sup>th<\/sup> grade students interested in STEM. A.
