MLK’s Echo: Celebrating the Impact of Voice
2024 MLK Day Celebration

Join the Office of Inclusion (IMQ) along with the Black Student Union (BSU), NAU Athletics, the Center for Service and Volunteerism at NAU, and the Murdoch Community Center for an event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History Month on Monday, January 15, 2024.
This year’s theme “MLK’s Echo: Celebrating the Impact of Voice” recognizes the impact that Dr. King Jr. and other leaders who used their voices to empower others had on modern-day social change, advocacy, and justice.
Schedule of Events
9:30 a.m.: Doors Open at the du Bois Ballroom
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Community Breakfast
10:30 – 11:00 a.m.: Celebration and Keynote Speaker
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Poster Making
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Commemorative March from du Bois to the IMQ Center in the Union Fieldhouse
1 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Community Service at Flagstaff Community Partner Sites
3:30 – 5 p.m.: Community Mixer at the Murdoch Center (203 E Brannen Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86001)
