The Fall 2021 NAU Supervisors Academy begins Tuesday, September 14!\u00a0\u00a0 The application is now available at the link below.\u00a0\u00a0 The application deadline of Friday, August 20th.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All supervisors, including those who supervise part-time and student employees, are eligible to apply.\u00a0 We can accommodate 36 participants.\u00a0 Supervisors who want to be considered for participation must be able to attend all orientation and cohort sessions (see below).\u00a0 There will be two cohorts, a Tuesday and a Wednesday one.\u00a0 All selected candidates will attend the virtual orientation dates together, then move into the content sessions on their chosen cohort days.\u00a0 See schedule below.<\/p>\n

\n• Supervisor of the candidate receives a system–generated email from OnBase (NoReply@nau.edu) with a link to approve the application and acknowledge their support of participation.
\n• Application is then routed to HR Training for approval.
\n• Candidate is notified by email of the decision regarding the application once it has been reviewed by the supervisor and HR; all decisions will be communicated by August 27th.<\/p>\n

Orientation – EVERYONE attends All orientation sessions together.   There are 4, two-hour sessions over 2 weeks. (total of 8 hours):<\/strong>\n

Cohort Sessions – Participants choose to participate in either the Tuesday Cohort (afternoon) or the Wednesday Cohort (Mornings) – 6 sessions each:<\/strong>\n

Leadership series to enhance and develop leader knowledge and skills through experiential learning, role plays, case studies, etc.
\nDesigned with employee insight from every level of the university
\nAddresses topics\/classes such as:

\nHuman Resource Skills (hiring, performance management, policy)<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Requirements to complete the Academy Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n

Participants will:\n
\n
Attend 6 core classes<\/em><\/strong> as a cohort (referenced above).<\/li>\n
Complete a minimum of 5 elective classes<\/em><\/strong> (for a total of 11 classes) within 3 months<\/em><\/strong>; you are invited and encouraged to take more.<\/li>\n
Attend graduation celebration (to be scheduled for the end of the 3-month window – hopefully in person).<\/li>\n
Potential of some in-person meet ups outside of scheduled class time.<\/li>\n
Interact with each other in our MS Teams Supervisor Academy channel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nWe hope you will consider applying for the Supervisors Academy.
