\n Partner Assistance Program Questionnaire<\/a>\n <\/div>\n\n
Northern Arizona University offers dual-career partner assistance for you and your partner as a crucial element in recruiting and retaining its excellent faculty and staff. The information below provides a general overview of the university\u2019s dual career efforts.<\/p>\n
The partner assistance program does not guarantee employment. Only qualified candidates will be considered and hired for open positions.<\/p>\n
Partner hires will be made only with the approval of the hiring department or unit.<\/p>\n

Partner Assistance Program procedures Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n
\n \n\n
You must follow the following procedures to be considered.<\/p>\n
\n
You and your partner will need to submit the Partner Assistance Program Questionnaire<\/a> to Human Resources by completing the online form.<\/li>\n
An HR Talent Acquisition Coordinator (TAC) will review your submission and will reach out to you directly to discuss the next steps and provide further guidance.<\/li>\n
You will receive a letter stating that the partner is a participant in the program. This letter may be attached to University applications for employment, and may also serve as a letter of introduction to other offices where partner benefits may be secured.<\/li>\n
The TAC will also offer assistance to the partner with their job search, or to offer other assistance as appropriate.<\/li>\n
Partner Assistance Program participants will be eligible to apply to all Northern Arizona University job postings for which they are qualified, including internal postings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Northern Arizona University will provide the following services and benefits to all participants in the Partner Assistance Program:<\/p>\n
\n
Cline Library services are available for partner: NAU Faculty & Staff may add spouses to their library accounts<\/a>, which will grant them extended borrowing privileges. They will also have access to the building, which includes plenty of unique study and research spaces, as well we experiential learning spaces, such as the MakerLab<\/a>.<\/li>\n
Staff parking privileges (fees apply).<\/li>\n
Access to the Employee Assistance and Wellness Office:<\/a> partners covered under an NAU benefit plan may access counseling services; all partners may access the EAW wellness series.<\/li>\n
Access to on-campus housing, when required for the primary employee’s job.<\/li>\n
Access to recreation and other university facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Service for partners with academic qualifications Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n
\n \n\n
For those partners who have academic or faculty qualifications, the university may consider the following if appropriate and subject to the needs and approval of the affected department\/unit:<\/p>\n
\n
Adjunct faculty status in the appropriate department\/unit.<\/li>\n
One-year renewable teaching-research fellowships.<\/li>\n
Instructor or lecturer line.<\/li>\n
Shared position.<\/li>\n
One-half to full time tenure track position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Responsibilities of the Partner Assistance Program Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n
\n \n\n
The Partner Assistance program will:<\/p>\n
\n
facilitate communication between upper administration, departments, and units and the employee\/potential employee<\/li>\n
be administered by the Human Resources Department with the advice of the Equity and Access Office<\/li>\n
coordinate with other Flagstaff area employers and formalizing relationships with them to facilitate sharing of information<\/li>\n
ensure that information about the Partner Assistance Program is made available to selection committees as requested<\/li>\n
provide employment assistance in the following areas:\n
\n
Resume\/CV\/Cover Letter preparation<\/li>\n
Interviewing skills and preparation<\/li>\n
Negotiating a job offer information and advice<\/li>\n
Identification of career goals<\/li>\n
Volunteer opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
