NAU offers employees both Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage.<\/p>\n<hr role=\"separator\" class=\"hr--transparent hr--transparent-15px not-in-view\">\n<h3><strong>Short-Term vs Long-Term Disability <\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Short Term Disability <\/strong>is optional, and directly pays you a portion of your income for up to 6 months after a 30-day waiting period.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Long Term Disability<\/strong> is part of your Primary Retirement benefit.
