December 2018 Announcements
NAU Human Resources would like to draw your attention to some important new announcements.
Supervisors, department liaisons, and co-workers are encouraged to print and post important announcement updates in units where NAU employees may not use their email accounts or work on computers on a regular basis.
It’s time to check your vacation balances!!
As we come to the end of 2018 please take time to review your vacation balance. Per NAU Policy, employees can only carry forward into the next year 1.5 times their annual accrual rate. The maximum carry forward amounts are as follows (Note: carry forward balances are prorated for employees who work less than a 1.0 FTE):
Less than 2 years 132 hours
2 years up to 4 years 192 hours
4 years or more 264 hours
Appointed Staff 264 hours
You can check your balance by logging into LOUIE – Self-Service – Payroll & Compensation – View Leave Balances, or by checking your Timesheet. Employees who currently have balances that exceed the annual carry forward amount have been notified by the payroll department. If you have questions about your vacation balance please contact the Payroll Office.
