This program will prepare you to confront regional, national, and global health issues through helping to control infectious disease and reduce environmental hazards, violence, substance use, and injury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This degree broadly prepares graduates in foundational public health concepts and processes that can be applied within multiple health-related disciplines and in graduate study. Whether you want to go straight into the workforce, or choose to pursue a graduate education, this degree provides a variety of electives that can be grouped to create an education tailored to you.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the curriculum, service learning is infused, from assignments and courses to your capstone and internship. The program also offers a number of global health field school experiences so you can travel the world and earn credits towards your degree. Recently, Julia was recognized with the Award for Excellence in Teaching &amp; Learning. She says, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always had a passion for helping others. When I first started college, I didn&rsquo;t even know what public health was. Like many of our public health students, I initially considered pursuing nursing.
