These sources, known as Scope 3 Categories 1 and 2, often represent the largest share of an institution&#8217;s carbon footprint but are historically difficult to track. The project team is developing a robust Inventory Management Plan and utilizing environmentally extended input-output (EEIO) models to calculate emissions based on procurement data.
