Carpools must register together, each person completing a parking registration form. Carpool members must provide proof of separate vehicle ownership. The accepted form of proof of ownership is the motor vehicle registration. One person must take responsibility for the permit with an understanding that any citations issued to the vehicles linked to the permit will be billed to that person&rsquo;s account.<\/p>\n<p>To allow for situations when individuals must drive their personal vehicles outside of the carpool, three free daily permits per academic year will be provided to each participant at no charge. Carpool participants are not eligible for any other parking permit, but may purchase additional daily permits for $2 per day. A card is available for affiliate employees or those without a smartphone and can be picked up at University Transit Services, <a title=\"Centennial Building 91\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/its\/naugo\/\">Centennial building (#91<\/a>), Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A NAU JacksCard is required for an ecoPASS.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-vis-recent-on-screen-6383453_147=\"23357\" data-gtm-vis-first-on-screen-6383453_147=\"23357\" data-gtm-vis-total-visible-time-6383453_147=\"100\" data-gtm-vis-has-fired-6383453_147=\"1\"><strong>EcoPASS benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The EcoPASS isn&rsquo;t just about saving money. By riding the Mountain Line shuttle with an EcoPASS, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Save wear and tear on your vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Help promote the university&rsquo;s goal of increased sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Cut gas consumption<\/li>\n<li>Reduce campus traffic congestion<\/li>\n<li>Reduce air pollution<\/li>\n<li>Expand the range of cyclists and walkers<\/li>\n<li>Relax on your way to work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-gtm-vis-has-fired-6383453_147=\"1\"><strong>Guaranteed ride home<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to unlimited public transit access, ecoPASS gives you access to the Guaranteed Ride Home program. This program allows employees who commute to work using their ecoPASS to use a taxi for emergencies at no charge. Emergencies include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>illness or injury experienced by you or a family member<\/li>\n<li>damage to your home or property by fire, burglary, or acts of nature<\/li>\n<li>university-wide emergencies where no other travel options are available<\/li>\n<li>unscheduled overtime (supervisor authorization is required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When an employee has an emergency on a day he or she commutes to work via Mountain Line, a signed voucher will be issued by University Transit Services and the employee will call a taxi from the provider list.
