Getting in contact with your GEAR UP Coach or mentor is now easier than ever. Arizona GEAR UP has set up two text messaging services to give students access to educational resources.<\/p>\n

TxtGU<\/h3>\n
TxtGU,<\/strong> is a texting platform where our GEAR UP students can reach out to their GEAR UP coaches with their educational questions. GEAR UP Coaches are educational professionals in high schools that help students with school and career planning. With txtGU, students have the ability to easily connect with their coaches. The service works in two ways where GEAR UP Coaches and the GEAR UP state office will send out periodic school updates, important information, and educational opportunities. Coaches are typically available during normal school hours. TxtGU is offered to all students at 5E High Schools and is available up to one year after high school.<\/p>\n

Student Success Agency (SSA)<\/h3>\n
Student Success Agency<\/a> is a texting platform where juniors and seniors can sign up to have their very own “agents,” who are typically young professionals in various industries. Students get matched with their agents based on their interests and goals. Agents are just a text message away and can support students in a variety of ways, from helping build a resume, finding the right college programs, filling out the FAFSA, and more. SSA is available to students up to one year after high school graduation to assist with postsecondary transition.<\/p>\n
The best part of these programs? They are free for our GEAR UP students. To find out which services are available at your school and how to sign up, look for your school name below and follow the directions for your desired service.<\/p>\n\n
