Do you want a job where you can work just a portion of the summer and then enjoy a vacation? Wouldn\u2019t it be nice to spend some time in the cooler weather up in Flagstaff? If you answered \u201cyes\u201d to one, or all of these questions, we might just have the job for you!<\/p>\n<p>Arizona GEAR UP is hiring for our GEAR UP Summer Leadership Academy, taking place Monday, June 9th \u2013 Thursday, June 12<sup>th<\/sup> in Flagstaff, Arizona. The 4-day, 3-night camp teaches high school students valuable personal development and gives students the opportunity to explore the STEAM fields.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Staff programming will run from Saturday, June 7th to Thursday, June 12th<\/strong>.\u00a0 Staff will arrive on June 7th for mandatory training and to prepare for student arrival on June 9th.<\/p>\n<p>Staff will live on campus at Northern Arizona University in Mountain View residents&#8217; hall with meals and housing expenses covered by Arizona GEAR UP. TLs live in dorms with participating students, and chaperone and supervise students before, during, between, and after scheduled activities and during meals. TLs provide support during scheduled activities by helping to ensure that all students are engaged in discussions and activities and by helping to enforce\/reinforce rules and expectations for conduct. TLs also may also facilitate\/oversee students&rsquo; daily recreational activities. The position is through the GEAR-Up department and is supportive of a one-week summer program.<\/p>\n<p>The Lumberjack Leadership Summit Health Coordinator (HC), under the supervision of the Program Manager, is responsible for collaborating with other staff to ensure the health and safety of all student participants. The HC lives in the dorm and is responsible for reviewing students&rsquo; medical information as provided in their applications, administering prescription medications on set schedule and attending to any medical conditions of students while they are on campus. The HC is also available to evaluate any medical needs or emergencies that arise and make recommendations for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Ideal candidate:<br>\n&bull; Possession of a current license to practice professional nursing, certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Arizona.<br>\n&bull; At least one year of experience as a professional registered nurse, EMT and\/or CNA.<br>\n&bull; A bachelor&rsquo;s degree<br>\n&bull; Experience working with adolescents is preferred but not required.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>To apply, hit the &#8220;Apply&#8221; button below and you will be taken to the NAU Career Opportunities webpage.
