First-year and exploratory advising
During your first year and while you are Exploratory, you are assigned to a Gateway academic advisor who is trained to advise for all NAU-Flagstaff majors. Your advisor will be your first point of contact when you have questions about things like enrollment, degree progress, academic support, and more. Your advisor will help you master the First-Year Academic Advising Learning Outcomes.

If you are unsure of your major or are exploring your options, you may always meet with a Gateway academic advisor to discuss your interests. We have resources for exploratory students like O-Net Online, What Can I Do With This Major?, and the NAU Academic Catalog.
Ask an advisor about upcoming events for Exploratory students.
