Academic requirements

Course of study

Students should be familiar with the requirements for their course of study in the appropriate university catalog. Those requirements govern the student’s progress to graduation. You are responsible for knowing these requirements. The six FCB degree programs stress effective teamwork and emphasize written and oral communication, computer skills, and ethical and international considerations.

On occasion students need a substitution for a requirement in their degree program. Substitutions are not made except for legitimate reasons such as a required course not being offered by the college or similar reasons beyond a student’s control. Lack of interest or ability in a particular course is not a legitimate reason for a substitution. Substitutions should be requested through the Office of Academic Services and require approval of that office and the Area Coordinator for the area offering the course or the Associate Dean.
